Lorenzo, check out your Flipboard feed. I get your posts sometimes out of order for some reason. I would contact Flipboard about it.

    Hi Lorenzo et al,
I miss the like-minded companionship and friendships of the ‘others’ you’ve mentioned many times. I’m convinced there must be others located firstly in New Zealand and secondarily in Auckland. I pretty much live on the outer fringes of culture/society and avoid the usual social clubs, pubs, parties etc like the plague. I would like to get with people again and would welcome any input on the ‘others’. I’m in my early 70’s.

I just listened to your podcast recording of the G Gordon Liddy versus Dr Timothy Leary debates. Thank you for posting it. But I don’t understand your criticism of Liddy. What’s the rationale? I’ll guess it’s because of his service and support of the Nixon Administration? Calling him an ***hole, as you do, does not an impressive argument make — does it?

Hey Lorenzo! I have bad news for you! You are missing a very important guest on your podcast. Here is a link to his site. http://baruss.ca , Knowing Imants Baruss personally and having listened to your podcast over the last few years. I am shocked you two have never heard of each other. Hopefully you get this and I can be the one to connect both of you. If you could email me further about this we can get things rolling.

I am so happy to hear the talks I would listen to in the early 80’s late nite on kpfk on a podcast. Ram Dass and Dr. Tim talk at Harvard I thought I would never hear it again. Thank you

Lorenzo, how do we contact you? I just wanted to suggest you interview Christopher Bache for the psychedelic salon, and read The Dark Night of the Soul, if you haven’t already.

[COMMENT by Lorenzo: That is a FANTASTIC book. It was first recommended to me by Myron Stolaroff, and I’ve actually read it twice IF you mean “Dark Night, Early Dawn: Steps to a Deep Ecology of Mind” by Christopher M. Bache.

    Lorenzo,

There was an event of some minor significance last night. KPCC (aka “Southern California Public Radio”) held a one hour conference/web broadcast of a psychedelic conference on the use of psychedelic compounds in the medical research. It was presented as part of the Crawford Family Forum in Pasadena, not too far from JPL and Cal Tech.

The conference was a fairly scripted event, a formality in the process of building public acceptance. Overall, it was a “friendly” crowd, so the presentations were not really controversial.

They discussed the recent and ongoing MDMA and psilocybin studies, as well as getting in to synthesized ibogaine for opiate treatments. It was all science with a discussion of the human desire/need for the experience of transcendence. There was even a shout out for Dr. Dennis McKenna and a study he will be conducting in Peru with Ayahuasca — to which the KPCC health care personality joked that they will have to start inserting Ayahuasca into tea bags to control the medical dose. The most interesting study is a psilocybin study being launched at UCLA dealing with adults with autism that have severe struggles getting over the stress overload phase of the symptoms.

Here is the conference video. http://www.scpr.org/events/2014/09/15/1506/psychedelic-science/

[COMMENT by Lorenzo: Thanks for the comment. And last March, in podcast 392 “MDMA and Autistic Adults: A New Research Study” you will hear and interview that I did with the two researchers on the UCLA autism sutdy, which is actually using MDMA but not psilocybin.

Hi Lorenzo Thanks for the rivetting podcasts. I feel a calling towards psychedelics, im drug and plant naive due to never coming into contact with either. I live in Ireland, could you advise where I could go to have a psychedelic experience in a safe environment, i can travel where ever necessary. I have no preconceived ideas or unrealistic expetations about psychedelics but my intuition is that to elevate my consciousness and take the scales from my eyes they are a prerequisite. Please Lorenzo could you advise. Love your soul and spirit. Thanks Christine

[COMMENT by Lorenzo: My introduction to ayahuasca was facilitated by Don Jose Campos, a man I greatly admire and trust. Here is a link to him:

There is one other ayahuasca retreat that several close friends have mentioned, but I’m still gathering more information about them.]

Hi Lorenzo — found this stunning and very trippy photography of the domes of mosques, taken by Iranian photographer Mohammad Rezi. The architects and craftsmen who tiles these vaulted roofs must have had a strong inner connection to fractal architecture and perhaps hallucinogenic visions – similar to those infinitely-fine ones I experienced with my life-changing first experience of California Sunshine.

Hi again Lorenzo — Came across this article and video (a video produced by the societal lunatic asylum) on i-Dosing. Look for “i-Dosing with ValhallaFreqEcho” on this page: http://valhalladsp.wordpress.com/category/valhallafreqecho/

For those of you in the tribe who have a access to a computer music studio with the capability of using VST effects, you can download a free VST plugin that facilitates the effects of binaural i-Dosing here:
    http://valhalladsp.com/valhallafreqecho

I’ve been using their ‘Valhalla Shimmer’ reverb effect in my studio for a while and it is amazing, compared to the standard high-end professional reverbs used everywhere by the pop industry. Again, very trippy listening.

Have a nice Christmas Lorenzo & family!

    Found this in my travels:

Black truffles contain ‘bliss molecules’ not unlike those found in cannabis.
